2016 was an incredible year!!
2016 was an absolutely incredible year for Blue Sage Cuisine! Just reviewing the years accomplishments has me reeling! On Dec 31, 2015, I remember feeling this same way. I posted an instagram photo collage with the hashtag,

#2016youvegotbigshoestofill. Not only did this year fill the shoes, we've outgrown them and moved on to a bigger pair:) Aggghhh, Where to begin...
I guess the beginning will do....
We had an incredibly busy start to the year. We served events every weekend and tons of weekday corporate lunches. We came out of the blocks blazing! The entire year followed suit with us increasing our staff, hosting multiple back to back events and serving our largest events to date!

I had the honor of speaking on a panel on behalf of Leading Ladies 904. The theme was Leading with Purpose and it was an amazing opportunity to share my wellness journey and my WHY. Such an honor to sit alongside this incredible group of women to share our passion with a full house of our local community.

In March, we were featured alongside dozens of women making an impact in the food industry for Edible Magazines "Women In Food All-Star List"!
(click picture above to see full list)
From there, we had so many amazing media features including a story in Arbus Magazine highlighting some of my favorite chicas from Leading Ladies 904!
Owner, Jasmin Wooden, had an interview with Edible NE Florida magazine that was published early spring,(click picture below to read full interview)
and our first recipe was printed in the May issue of Edible NE FL Magazine

We also had 6 appearances on Jax lifestyle show, River City Live showcasing some of our favorite recipes. (See media page for videos)

Such an exciting year filled with exposure on many platforms. What a humbling opportunity for which I am eternally grateful. Not only for the exposure to the business, but also for the personal growth.
We were approved to become vendors at various markets including Riverside Arts Market, Orange Park Farmers Market and smaller local community markets. Most important, we made our Reuben Dog available to the World! :)

One of the most exciting highlights was the Shine 2016 Award! I was nominated to receive an award where 30 Women in Jacksonville were highlighted for their leadership in the community. Incredible doctors, philanthropists, charity owners, cancer survivors, art curators and more...lets just say, I felt completely HONORED and slightly unworthy! #soblessed

Oh yeah...there was also this amazing collaboration with 2 women that inspired me from the moment I met them. I interviewed them to share their stories of healing through food. Not only was I in awe of them, but their stories inspired so many. Girl Power at its finest! Check out their full interview here on the blog!

There were so many great things that happened in 2016 but these were a few of my favorites! Thank you to each and every person that played a part in the success and growth of my business. I appreciate every clients, mentor, collaborator, supporter and friend. There was a pretty consistent theme of Women in Action and I cannot tell you how proud I was to be a part of so much of the celebration! From Leading Ladies 904 to Women in Food to Shine, 2016 was the year of the Woman! Look out 2017, I'm coming for ya!
